CRFC vs CHONGQING CONQUERORS - February 28 2008

Black and Whites Victorious Over the Conquerors

By LeeLee

February 28th saw the second match-up between the Chengdu Black and Whites and the Chongqing Conquerors in Chongqing. The day was damp and cold and the pitch grassless and sandy but these conditions did not deter either team from giving it their all. While the Conquerors put up a good fight they were no match for the speed and strength of Chengdu who saw tries scored by Eoin Flinn (2), Fred Thompson (1), and Aaron Carr (1) with an end score of 20 to 5. This victory is the third for the Black and Whites this season as they head toward that very important first Yellow Sea Cup match on March 14th in Chengdu.

That evening, both teams went out for dinner, drinks, and good natured teasing, in the grand tradition of rugby. The Black and Whites would like to thank the Chongqing Conquerors for a fantastic day and are eagerly awaiting the next match-up.
