Sichuan Quake Relief/CRFC Charity 10's Tournament - October 2008:

Dear Fellow Ruggers,

On May 12th a devastating earthquake rocked much of Sichuan province. Since that time, there have been continued aftershocks, increasing the amount of destruction and the number of people killed or injured. The current death toll estimate is 80,000 people with nearly 5 million displaced.

It will take years and our combined efforts to recover from this natural disaster.

To help with relief efforts currently underway, the Chengdu Rugby Football Club, in conjunction with Sichuan Quake Relief, will be hosting a Charity Tournament on October 10-12, 2008 with menеs contact 10s matches and womenеs touch matches. We are asking at each club please bring a donation of a minimum of 10,000 RMB. 100% of all proceeds will be used for quake relief efforts.

Please let us know if you are interested and can make this tournament. In a few weeks time we will have media packages made up and can send them to your club.
